Called to Community, Called to Worship, Called to be Disciples of Jesus Christ.

Worship is the focus at East Woods. We look to be reenergized and inspired each Sunday morning, praising God in song, praying together and for each other and hearing the Word in terms that apply to our daily lives. We worship and honor God in a style that is casual, but with respect to tradition.

Prayer is very important to us. Our prayer time is very special as we openly voice our joys and concerns so that we may pray for each other in our worship setting.

Our services are a blend of the contemporary and traditional, mixing modern praise and worship music with cherished and time-honored hymns. On occasion we present special styles of worship in varied formats that best bring the Word and seasons to light. These special services include Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Service of Renewal and our Christmas Eve Candlelight service.

Children are cherished and welcome to stay for the whole worship service or attend Children's Sunday School, which begins after the Children's Message during the service. Sunday School classes are offered for Pre-school through 5th grade and nursery care is available for our youngest worshipers.

Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. All are welcome to partake, you do not need to be a member of this church to participate in this Sacrament. Children who have been instructed in the meaning of communion are welcome to the table, as well. If you have any questions concerning Communion, please call our pastor at 360-944-5841.

Opportunities for service: There are many opportunities for participation in worship as greeters, ushers, praise song leaders, and scripture readers.  Please call the church office at 360-944-5841 if you are interested in any of these opportunities.
